A simple pair of glasses or a basic jacket that always works is worth a lot. Sometimes I even measure an existing frame with a ruler before ordering anything new. I think it is better to build a small collection of reliable products than to buy random cheap things. Online shopping will always have a bit of risk, but experience makes it easier.

This is why I like reading and posting on forums and community websites. Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers.
